The 2017 Chinese Lunar New Year "Rooster Year" is here. Just like before, the overseas Chinese had a lively and meaningful Chinese traditional New Year.
On January 14, the Washington Asian Community Service Center held the 10th New Year Celebration to celebrate the most important traditional festival of the Chinese nation. Local politicians and people of different ethnicities came to participate and experienced Chinese customs.
The event was held in a middle school in Virginia. As in previous years, many federal parliamentarians and government officials from Victoria came to participate. They sent New Year greetings to the Chinese in the community and interacted with the people on the spot with great interest.
